Tool Gate · How it works
How the Bid Sprint Drill gate works
How the Bid Sprint Drill scores six readiness signals before a fast-turn bid: a two-asset gate forces NOT SPRINT-READY when the reusable archetype file is missing, so a 60/100 team still can't sprint a proposal.
How the gate works
This tool grades your readiness to win a job posting's freshness window before you sprint a proposal. Each control is marked from your own evidence and weighted into a 0–100 score — and then the score is run past a gate that can only make the verdict worse.
The 6 weighted controls
| Signal | Weight |
|---|---|
| Archetype file for this niche | 22 |
| Current proof stack | 20 |
| Pain-language / opening bank | 14 |
| Posting-qualification rule | 16 |
| Posting-alert / monitoring setup | 12 |
| Demonstrated window speed | 16 |
| Total | 100 |
The verdict bands
A missing archetype file or proof stack — either one scored 0 — forces NOT SPRINT-READY regardless of the score. Speed without a staged asset just sends something weak quickly; you cannot deploy what you have not built.
In the worked sample it scores 60 out of 100 and still reads NOT SPRINT-READY — The other levers are decent — a 20-minute window, live alerts, a saved opening bank — for a score of 60, which alone would read TIGHTEN. But the archetype file for this niche is missing (scored 0). The two-asset gate forces NOT SPRINT-READY regardless of the score: a fast proposal with no staged skeleton is just fast spam. The one thing to fix first: Archetype file for this niche is at 0 — it's one of the two staged assets the gate requires. Build the reusable Situation–Complication–Resolution skeleton first; it's a Build-phase fix, and speed can't rescue a missing asset..
Common questions
Can something score well on the How the Bid Sprint Drill works and still fail?
Yes. The weighted score is run past a worsen-only gate — the Two-asset — that can only make the verdict worse. In the worked sample it scores 60 out of 100 and still reads NOT SPRINT-READY, because the other levers are decent — a 20-minute window, live alerts, a saved opening bank — for a score of 60, which alone would read TIGHTEN. But the archetype file for this niche is missing (scored 0). The two-asset gate forces NOT SPRINT-READY regardless of the score: a fast proposal with no staged skeleton is just fast spam.
What is a worsen-only gate?
A dispositive rule that can only lower a verdict, never raise it. One fatal flaw overrides an otherwise-good score, because a single disqualifying gap shouldn't hide behind a high average. The tool also names the one thing to fix first — here, "Archetype file for this niche is at 0 — it's one of the two staged assets the gate requires. Build the reusable Situation–Complication–Resolution skeleton first; it's a Build-phase fix, and speed can't rescue a missing asset.".
Grades your own bid-readiness as a system, not any person, and guarantees no particular response rate. Your marks, your score — deterministic and offline.
