Listing Delivery Verification Gate

You paid a vendor or agency to put your business in the directories. The report says "submitted." Is the listing live, is it correct, and is it still there a month later? Mark each one against your invoice and find out.

A submitted form is not a published listing. This counts only what you verified, and, where something is short, names the one thing to ask the vendor about first.

The problem

The invoice says 50. How many are live?

Listing work is easy to bill and hard to see. A vendor report can show a long list of directories with a status of "submitted" or "pending" beside each, and nothing in it tells you whether a live page exists, whether it shows your real name and phone, or whether it is still up next month. Opening the listings one by one is tedious, so the gap between what was billed and what was delivered often goes unmeasured. This turns that check into a count you can put next to the invoice.

What gets marked

Seven marks per listing, all yours.

Published

Yes, No, or Submitted only. A submitted form is not a published listing, and it never counts as delivered.

Name, address, phone, link

Does the listing show your approved name, address (or N-A for a service-area business), phone, and a link to your domain?

Evidence and recheck

Did you capture it with a date, and was it still live at a recheck 30 or more days later?

Any blank or misspelled mark reads CHECK INPUT. A blank is never counted as a No or as a pass.

Roll-up

PARTLY DELIVERED AS DESCRIBED

8 of 15 listings (53%) verified delivered

2 live listings show a wrong name or phone.

1 of the 8 delivered listings has not been rechecked at 30+ days.

Fix first: 3 listings submitted only, never published. Ask the vendor for the live URL of each.

Invented directories and marks. Your own marks about delivered work: nothing is scanned or fetched. Not legal advice; does not establish a vendor's breach of contract.

This is the live engine. The .xlsx grades up to 60 listings and rolls them up against your invoice count. A verdict per listing, the roll-up, and, where something is short, the one thing to fix first.

What you'll see

A count against the invoice, and, where it is short, the one thing to fix first.

DELIVERED AS DESCRIBED

90% or more of billed listings are LIVE AND CORRECT, with no wrong name or phone on a live listing.

PARTLY DELIVERED AS DESCRIBED

50% or more are LIVE AND CORRECT. One wrong name or phone on a live listing caps you here, even at 100%.

NOT DELIVERED AS DESCRIBED

Under 50% of billed listings are LIVE AND CORRECT.

Worked example (the invented sample in the file)

Fifteen listings billed. Eight come back LIVE AND CORRECT, two are LIVE, NEEDS CORRECTION (one wrong phone, one wrong name), three are SUBMITTED ONLY, one is NOT FOUND, and one is GONE AT RECHECK. That is 8 of 15, 53%, so the roll-up reads PARTLY DELIVERED AS DESCRIBED, and the fix-first line names the three listings that were submitted only and never published.

The 90% and 50% lines are RedHub defaults, shown on the Dashboard. They are not a legal or contractual standard.

Who it's for

Anyone who paid for listings and never saw them.

  • Local & service businesses — with a listings invoice and no way to tell what was delivered.
  • Multi-location owners — who need one counted answer per vendor, not a hunch.
  • Marketing managers — taking over a vendor relationship and auditing the handoff.
  • Agencies — checking their own subcontractor's listing work before it reaches a client.

Scope: this grades your own marks about delivered work. It does not check any site, does not establish a vendor's breach of contract, and is not legal advice. It scans and fetches nothing, and it scores no people. RedHub is not affiliated with Google.

Pairs well with

Verify the listings, then fix what they feed.

If live listings show the wrong name or phone, the Google Business Profile Suspension-Risk Gate checks the profile those mismatches can put at risk. The AI Search Brand-Presence Diagnostic measures whether the AI engines name you at all, and the AEO Citation Audit & Optimizer Kit diagnoses why they do not.
