How the gate works
This tool grades one paid lead source on return and lead quality before you scale it. It scores 2 weighted controls into a 0–100 number — then a gate that can only make the verdict worse.
The 2 weighted controls
A source with ROAS at or above 3x can't clear SCALE if fewer than 20% of its raw leads qualify - a strong return on cheap junk still caps at FIX until the fit improves.
Why: ROAS clears the 3x scale bar at 4.0x on $6,000 of spend, and the weighted score lands at 82 - comfortably inside SCALE range on paper. But only 96 of 1,200 raw leads qualify, an 8% rate well under the 20% floor, so the fit gate caps the verdict at FIX regardless of the score. Cheap junk that closes once in a while is still junk.
A high score didn’t save it. The score is context; the gate is the answer — and it names the one thing to fix first. Grades the lead-source numbers you enter - a planning tool, not financial or marketing-spend advice.
