How the ChatGPT Ad & Conversational-Answer Readiness gate works

This tool grades a proposed ChatGPT ad and its landing page for readiness to serve and convert. It scores 6 weighted controls into a 0–100 number — then a gate that can only make the verdict worse.

Crawler & policy gate · worsen-only

The landing page must be reachable by OAI-AdsBot, and the offer must sit in an allowed ad category. Either failure forces WON'T SERVE no matter how high the readiness score - a blocked crawler means the ad gets approved but silently never serves; a disallowed category means it gets rejected at review.

76/100
WON'T SERVE

Why: Every other dimension is clear - the tone reads as a recommendation, the landing page matches the ad intent, every claim is verifiable, and both fields sit inside the builder's character limits. That's a readiness score of 76, which would normally read READY TO SERVE. But the landing page blocks OAI-AdsBot: the ad can pass review and still never actually serve. The crawler gate forces WON'T SERVE regardless of how clean the rest of the card is.

A high score didn’t save it. The score is context; the gate is the answer — and it names the one thing to fix first. Grades readiness against the OAI-AdsBot access and ad-category requirements as understood at time of writing - policy and disputed character limits change, so verify current specifics against your live OpenAI ad builder before submitting.
