How the gate works
This tool grades an organization's AI-output record-keeping across 8 fields per logged entry. It scores 8 weighted controls into a 0–100 number — then a gate that can only make the verdict worse.
The 8 weighted controls
A missing required field (tool/model, owner, date), or a high-impact entry with no reviewer or source on record, forces UNRECORDED no matter how complete the log reads on average.
Why: Six logged AI outputs average 98% field completeness across all 8 fields - practically perfect. But one entry, a high-impact pricing decision, has no reviewer on record. That's structural, not graduated: the gate forces the whole log to UNRECORDED regardless of the 98.
A high score didn’t save it. The score is context; the gate is the answer — and it names the one thing to fix first. Audits a record's completeness, not the AI output's quality and not people. Not legal advice - confirm your own record-keeping requirements with counsel.
