How the gate works
This tool grades a generated sound against your brand's sonic identity. It scores 6 weighted controls into a 0–100 number — then a gate that can only make the verdict worse.
The 6 weighted controls
A sound that scores 0 on restraint — a dense, generic preset wash — is capped at OFF-BRAND no matter how high the other five attributes score. A strong total can't rescue a sound that doesn't sound like restraint; the gate can only make the verdict worse.
Why: The confirm-tick sample scores 85 of 100 — texture and restraint are a perfect match, energy and space are close, only the signature motif reads a little light. It clears the 80 threshold and reads ON-BRAND, and restraint scored 5 so the anti-slop gate stays clear. It sounds like you — ship it into the library.
A high score didn’t save it. The score is context; the gate is the answer — and it names the one thing to fix first. You score a sound against your own sonic spec — a generic preset can't pass, but the score is your judgment, not a measurement.
